| Description: | This database provides digital access to thousands of large-scale maps of over 300 Michigan towns and cities from 1867-1970. Users have the ability to manipulate the maps, magnify and zoom in on specific sections, and print or save the results. They are large-scale plans containing information such as the outline of each building, the size, shape, heights, function of structures, and location of windows and doors. The maps also give street names, street and sidewalk widths, property boundaries, building use, and house and block numbers. |
